Well here I am after 20 years skiing. First, I must confess I was never asked to join the US Olympic (likely an over sight) but in my heart I was a “contender”. I’m told the new skis (actually far from new) make the adventure much easier and enjoyable. I’m also told one now wears a hemet when skiing (Tnx Sonny). Somehow I find this troubling and likely an impediment to my senior “chic magnet aura” as I never looked to good in a football helmet.
The plan has been carefully put together having bought new ski clothing (very pricey), bought the Senior Lift Ticket, a little physical prep (very little), signing up for lessons, and of course selecting a hot spot (Dear Valley Utah) for my adventure. Today is the fitting of equipment, scoping out of the venue. Yes, more to come.
